Shopping with Float is simple and secure. Follow these steps to complete your purchase:

  1. Add to Cart
    • Browse our products and click “Add to Cart” for the item(s) you’d like to purchase.
  2. Checkout
    • Once you’re ready, click on your cart and select “Checkout.”
    • Fill in your shipping and billing information as requested.
  3. Select Payment Method
    • Under payment options, choose Float and click “Place Order.”
  4. Log In or Sign Up
    • If you already have a Float account, simply log in with your details to complete payment.
    • If you don’t have a Float account yet, you’ll be guided to sign up and provide Float with your personal and financial details for approval.
  5. Confirm & Complete
    • Once approved and logged in, confirm your order and you’re done!
    • Your product will be processed for delivery right away.

    At checkout, choose Happy Pay to split your purchase cost equally over your next two paycheques, interest-free and with no upfront deposit required.
  2. Easy Account Setup & Quick Approval
    Sign up with basic details and a South African-issued card. Happy Pay uses an AI-driven affordability assessment—not traditional credit scoring—and grants a spending limit almost immediately.
  3. Payment Schedule
    • First payment (50%) is due on your next payday after purchase.
    • Second payment (remaining 50%) is due on the subsequent payday.
  4. Security & Convenience
    Payments are processed securely via tokenized transactions—your card details are not stored—enhancing safety while allowing seamless repeat purchases.
  5. If You Miss a Payment
    • A R100 late fee is charged 24 hours after a missed payment—and again weekly for up to three weeks (totaling R300 per installment).
    • The system retries the payment after 7 days, up to three attempts in total.
    • Failure to pay the late fee triggers consolidation of the outstanding amount, late fees, and any applicable interest.
  6. Credit Impact
    While there’s no explicit mention of credit score reporting, missed or late payments may negatively affect your record.
  7. Your product gets shipped after the second final payment is received.
